Terms and Conditions
These terms & conditions apply whether a contract has been made verbally or in writing. The hirer is responsible for the actions and decisions of all passengers on board including and additional costs incurred in performing the contract whether or not they actually travel with the party.
Quotations
All quotations are given subject to the company having available a suitable vehicle at the time the hirer accepts the quotation. Quotations are given for Taxi & driver only. Quotations are valid for 7 days unless otherwise notified. All verbal quotations are given for Pick-up to final destination, variations will be charged accordingly.
Use of vehicle
The hirer cannot assume the use of the vehicle between outward & return journeys, nor that will it remain at the destination for the hirer’s use unless this has been agreed with the company. The company reserves the right to levy additional charges for additional mileage or time to that agreed. The charges will be pro rata & in accordance with booking confirmation.
Seating capacity
The maximum numbers allowed on the vehicle is indicated on the vehicle. No standing passengers allowed. Drivers will not carry an extra passenger over the seating capacity.
Animals
Will not be carried unless prior arrangements have been made. The only exception is guide dogs but please state whilst booking you will have a guide dog travelling.
Cancellation by hirer
If the hirer wishes to cancel the hire before 24 hours of the journey we offer full refund, minus a service charge. If the hirer wishes to cancel the hire within 24 hours of the journey, we cannot offer a monetary refund, instead we offer a voucher equivalent to the price of the journey, minus a service charge, which is valid for 12 months. If the hirer wishes to cancel the hire within 4 hours of the journey, we cannot offer any refunds.
Cancellation by the company
In the event of an emergency or an action by the hirer to vary the agreed conditions, the company may return all monies paid and without further liability cancel the contract.
Change of vehicle
The company may provide a larger vehicle than the size hired at no additional charge.
Route
The route used, unless the hirer has advised of a particular route or places to be passed en-route, which will be specified on the confirmation letter, will be at the discretion of the company and/or the driver. The vehicle will depart at the times agreed by the hirer, and it’s the responsibility of the hirer to account for all passengers at those times. The company will not accept liability for any losses incurred by the passengers who fail to follow instructions given by the hirer.
Waiting time
The first 15 minutes from the arrival of the taxi is free, thereafter waiting time will be charged at 50p per minute. If the hirer will not show up and can not be contacted for 30 minutes we will consider it as a "NO SHOW" so we`ll cancel the trip and we wouldn`t be able to offer any refund.
The first hour waiting at any airport is included in the fare. After the first hour we reserve the discretionary right to charge waiting time at 50p per minute plus parking. We would ask where possible if you could contact us if you are aware of any delays.
Breakdown or delay
The company gives advice on journey times in good faith, but does not guarantee the completion of a journey at a specific time, and will NOT be liable for inconvenience or loss caused by breakdown or delay.
Property
All vehicles hired are subject to restrictions on carry luggage for statutory safety reasons & the driver shall be the sole judge as to whether & to what extent passengers’ property is carried. The company will not accept liability for any damage or loss of any property, which belongs to any passengers and is left on a vehicle. Any articles of found property recovered from a vehicle will be taken to the nearest police station and then down to the hirer to retrieve property.
Insurance
All hirers and individual passengers are recommended to obtain insurance for those items where, save for negligence, the company’s liability is limited ( such as delay or luggage ).
Conduct of passengers
Conduct of passengers - The driver is responsible for the safety of the vehicle. Any passengers whose conduct is in breach of statutory regulations or their inappropriate behaviour disturbing the fellow passengers will be removed on the driver’s authority. The hirer will be responsible for all damages caused to vehicle by passengers during the hiring.
Alcohol
Under no circumstances may alcoholic drinks be carried on or consumed upon the vehicle. The company/driver reserve the right to refuse passenger who is too drunk to carry with no refund given.
Smoking
All Taxis are non-smoking.
Complaints
Must be made within 7 days of the date of hire in email. No compensation will be paid out from our company for any reason.
Surcharges
The quotations given is based on operating costs at the date of the quotation. When more than 28 days elapse between the date of the quotation and the date of departure, the company reserve the right to pass on to the hirer any increase in cost of fuel or any other increased cost resulting from Government action. We reserve the right to charge a valeting charge for any soiling in our vehicles or damages made by passengers. Soiling charges will be under discretion to the driver between £20-£200.

English Law
Orders are only accepted in that the Law of England shall apply to the contract arising from such an order, and to the determination of the rights and liabilities of the respective parties and in that no action or other proceedings shall be bought by either party in relation to such contract except in Court of competent jurisdiction in England.
Tariffs
Tariff published on this website will be subject to on-going review and should only be used for guidance.
Delays
Aurora Cars will communicate with customers to advise of any delays in service that may occur. We will only commit to realistic arrival times based on traffic conditions and position of the fleet at the time of booking.
Pre Booking
We are only able to take pre booked journeys not less than 24 hours prior. All bookings are subject to availability.
Payments
All fares must be paid in advance by credit or debit card.
Substitute Vehicle
Aurora Cars reserves the right to provide a substitute vehicle from one of our subcontractor companies.
Child Safety Seats Disclaimer
Please be advised that child safety seats are not mandated as a legal requirement for transportation services provided by Aurora Cars. As such, we do not possess, furnish, or assume responsibility for child safety seats during the course of any journey. Customers who opt to provide their own child safety seats are solely responsible for their installation, maintenance, and proper usage. Aurora Cars and its agents shall not be held liable for any issues arising from the provision, installation, or use of customer-supplied child safety seats.
